Breakdown. Lost in time
I don’t want to start my first blog with complaints about modern realities, but I think I don’t have one problem with the fact that games, and in general, any artistic works, began to very rarely surprise or cause at least some emotions. Most often, you immediately begin to see generally accepted templates and understand what awaits you in the coming hours. And if you do not abandon this activity in the end, you will be glad even to a minimum glimpse of originality that stood out on a general gray background.
Someone can say that you just get baked, you have too many options for choosing leisure. About 20 years ago, you would not have thought about such things, but would eat with a bun what they give. I would also ask for supplements. And, of course, it is partly so – the abundance of options is very corrupting and lifting the bar of perception.

A little (but this is not exactly) the background
A couple of months ago, I wanted to get acquainted with the Star Wars Jedi dilogy, since the games quite often flashed in my info, but there was no need to try them to try them. And on the recommendation of a friend, I looked at an outcast-one (not that I was delighted with him, but in general the film left a good impression), after which, having caught a naval wave, I decided that it was time for the Jedi. The first part was already purchased on a general account with my brother, but I bought the second at a discount on my own.
I approximately imagined what awaits me (thanks to the Internet for this), but without any spoilers and key details. I won’t burst out separately about each game, because we will not talk about them at all, but I just summarize my impressions: these are really beautiful AAA products with an exciting production, a good game of actors, not the worst gameplay and an interesting device of locations (for my taste, Loki is generally the best that is in both games). But the key problem for me personally here was the complete lack of emotional attachment to everything that happens on the screen. I felt especially funny in the ending of Survivor, which was entirely built on how GG experiences the death of one of the key characters, pronounces a touching monologue before the credits, and at that moment I understand that I absolutely do not give a damn about his words and the dead character, and generally on what will happen to all these adventurers further. I was even a little upset because of this emptiness inside-well, how so? Such a cinematic story, made, seemed, at the proper level, passed as if it was not there. I fight about the congestion that after a year or two I will not even remember about the events there.
Let me remind you that it was 2014 and a simple viewing of the video from YouTube, which at that time I absorbed in huge quantities. However, for some reason, the image of this game was imprinted in my creation so tightly that I involuntarily remembered it from time to time at the completely random moments of my life, unsuccessfully trying to answer the question that tormented my brain: how, damn it, it was called? Several times I tried to find her according to the description, but, surprisingly, this did not bring any result, although such a move triggered with some old forgotten films.
We return to our time, where after many years I have been watching a video about the history of the original boxing, which also tells about the starting line of games that came out on this prefix. What was my surprise when, among other gameplayed inserts, I notice the very strange shooter with an admixture of Beat Em Up (or you can say the opposite: Beat Em Up with an admixture of the shooter), and the author pronounces the treasured combination of English letters – Breakdown . No, I did not jump with joy and did not rush immediately to look for this game on the Internet, but simply with a pleasant feeling inside I put its name to my list of notes on the phone. But in my head the idea began to ripen that I must play it. After all, I even have a worn worn Xbox 360 Arcade! By my stupidity, I spent too much time looking for an original disk that cost some sky-high money now, and only after half the day I found out that Breakdown was sold for a very low price in Microsoft Store. When the boot strip reached 100 percent, and the game successfully launched my old man, I was genuinely happy, despite the time spent.
So there with the game?
Here was the rare case when the project was able to truly surprise me because of my initially low expectations. Firstly, the game immediately meets you just an excellent first-person scenes for 2004, which even looks very good today. From the recent one can draw parallels with Cyberpunk 2077, where this aspect was also made at the highest level. Last but not least, this effect is achieved due to the fact that the protagonist has a body that you see and feel throughout the game.
